To my shame or credit, I keep trying. Fourteen years into my current marriage, we’ve both concluded that the tired, sex-appropriate role paradigms don’t fit who we are as individuals or as a couple. That observed, “traditional” (as defined by whomever) still works for some. Just not for us.
