Maybe it was inconsiderate of her to point out the state of your car, but I don't see any harm in it. For the sake of your well-being, I would shrug it off and remind myself that I would rather have an old car than have her illness. All the beautiful cars she has and the nice home mean nothing in the scheme of things. Instead ,feel sorry for her and smile. You are fine. Really.
