Canceling others is rooted in a lack of humility

Throughout history, being part of a supportive community has played a crucial role in our survival, and even now, having strong connections is important for our overall well-being. However, cancel culture undermines this fundamental need for connection. It operates without limits, targeting unsuspecting individuals.

But the consequences have been much more personal — I’ve lost supposed “friends” over my unapologetic stance on politics. Some readers have deleted me from their lives, hurling parting words laced with venom and malice.

And those who remain have turned against me with judging eyes, convinced that my thoughts are unworthy of consideration. They sneer and belittle, branding me as stupid and uninformed, yet I stand firm in my beliefs and refuse to falter in the face of their disdain.

In today’s polarized society, cancel culture rhetoric has become a powerful means of moral conflict. The internet has transformed into a chaotic virtual carnival, allowing us to vent our pent-up anger without repercussions.

Amidst the fiery chaos and heated discourse, one unsettling question looms: Why are we no longer satisfied with engaging in constructive debates? Eradicating those with whom we disagree is a revival…
