Two years out of your life, sitting at home when you are twenty differs from when you are seventy. I had three hospitalizations for my Crohn’s disease and surgery with significant postoperative bleeding last year. Recently I fell getting onto my boat and cracked a rib. My joints are stiffer, and I sleep more. Neither my wife nor I am comfortable driving at night. My desire for adventure is ebbing, and going to a hockey game at night is a chore.
