That's right. In Biblical times, citizens had to be controlled in order to keep them in line. Nothing wrong with it. Nothing is wrong with believing in something. And it that makes you a better person, how wonderful is that.

As you know, I'm not a believer. I am a Zionist through and through and proud to be one. I do believe there's a higher power/being...or any other name you want to attach to it. But the idea that God is sitting on his throne and dictating our lives is not something I can digest.

For those who need to believe...or who believe. Believing gives you purpose, hope, and solace. It's a gift that somehow bypassed me.
