Much of those earliest ancient texts were translated into other languages in ancient times. Some of the originating ancient Hebrew texts were lost, so we only have later translations. Even the New Testament has this problem. It was written in Hebrew, Aramaic, Greek, and Latin languages. We have but to think of all those disparate church congregations with whom Paul was corresponding to imagine the various languages in which his epistles necessarily had to be transcribed for his intended congregations.
